Via Alldaybuffet, I caught up with a fantastic discussion on Futureshifters. More of a potpourri of great SE ideas and reaction by a ton of smart, young, motivated go-gooders. It's stuff like that that fires me up!
I hope some of those people will check out TIB and see what we're about. If you're here for that reason, welcome!!
We are looking for a few good creatives to join the FSP team for this great project. Please forward this to all interested parties! In addition to the first announcement (here), we'd like to provide some more details about the project:
TIB will be undergoing a spring cleaning as we move toward the new alpha site this summer. Most of the content sections will be edited and improved. Stuff will be moved around, other stuff will be added. TIB staff will be posting on the blog more often about relevant topics in the SE world. We'd love to have your contributions and feedback.
Also, if you know of programs you think qualify as CCBs, or know people who we should talk to, again, don't hesitate.
More from us soon... have a great wknd!
Great news! Ideabox is organizing an exciting project/contest for the Figment 2009 event/festival on Governor's Island, and we need TALENTED ARTIST TYPES to make it happen! Here's how it works:
WHAT:
The Ideabox is recruiting web designers, videographers, and other creative for a project at FIGMENT, the annual celebration of participatory arts and culture on Governor’s Island.
The Ideabox combines Craigslist & Google technology to create a new kind of network and database connecting the creative, donor, and service sectors in order to make service both easier and more fun.

We've been working on these basic elevator pitches-- what do you think? These two differ slightly:
For all you 99%ers who made it over to TIB: this is a nascent online project in creative community building that attempts to bring together the creative, activist, and philanthropy sectors in order to make civic engagement both easier and cooler.
Hello Change.org visitors! Please read the expanded version of our bid for the "10 Great Ideas for Change" competition. Of course, now that you're here, you should also poke around TIB!!! Thanks for coming and we hope you'll vote for us!
Our idea is to create an online incubator that serves as the hub for creative community building programs and Creative Entrepreneurial Idealism (CEI), with two overarching goals:
TIB is going to play a role in an era of American rejuvenation, renewed interest in service, and community building.
In helping grow what we like to call “Creative Entrepreneurial Idealism,” TIB is going to be a cultural game changer.
